Deva Fowler

Deva, who hails from San Diego, California, re-established the Tulane University record books during her illustrious career and not only led the Green Wave to one of its best four-year runs, but cemented her name at the top of the list of Tulane greats. She became the first player in Tulane volleyball history to earn All-America honors from the AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association), claiming honorable-mention recognition as a junior in 2003, and was also named to the AVCA All-Midwest Region team that same year. Fowler was inducted into the Tulane Hall of Fame twice - Class of 2012 for her individual accomplishments and Class of 2015 as a part of the Hurricane Katrina class.

A four-year starter at middle blocker from 2001-04, Fowler played in 126 matches and 449 sets and tallied 1,438 kills, a .261 attack percentage, 84 assists, 95 service aces, 424 digs, 114 solo blocks, 450 block assists and 564 total blocks during her career. Her four year career at Tulane marked the first time the Wave had posted four consecutive winning seasons since 1988. Fowler was twice named to All-Conference USA team, earning first-team honors as a junior in 2003 and second-team honors as a senior in 2004. She concluded her career ranking among Tulane's top-10 in nine career categories.

Deva has coached many camps, clinics, and teams throughout the years. While she’s spent most of her time in the recent years as a mom and working professional, she’s never ventured too far away from the sport of volleyball. This will be her second year working with the Fort Lewis Women’s Volleyball program as a volunteer assistant.

Deva has a Bachelor’s degree in Business with a double major in Finance and Management and a Master’s of Accountancy, both from Tulane University. She also has a Master’s of Business Administration from University of Southern California. She is a CPA and works in the Four Corners area as an Accountant.
